After a tough outing earlier in the week the Barton Community College men's tennis team got just what it needed. Barton responded to a lopsided loss with a resounding victory Saturday against Tabor College.
Coach Lyle Stickney was looking for his top player to get a test on the court this season. Daniela Sanz had rolled through her four singles opponents to start her career for the Barton women's tennis team.
The final event of the meet was the best one for the Barton Community College men's track team. It was in that relay the Cougars crowned a national champion at the 2015 NJCAA National Indoor Championships.
After a month-long layoff to open the tennis season the Barton Community College men were back on the court Wednesday. Barton traveled to Wichita to battle with Friends Unversity, coming up on the losing end of a 7-2 score.
