One loss, more than others, was more stinging to the Barton Community College basketball team in conference play. Four of the five losses came to the top three teams in the Jayhawk West – teams that have only lost to each other.
With the Jayhawk West title pretty much out of reach the focus for the Barton Community College women's basketball team has turned to finishing in the top four in the Jayhawk West and with it a home game to start Region VI play.
This past weekend marked the halfway point of the indoor season for the Barton Community College women's track team. The Cougars traveled to Lubbock, Texas for the Masked Rider Invitational on the campus of Texas Tech University.
The Indoor track season continues to produce NJCAA qualifiers for the Barton Community College men's track team with another dozen earning a spot this past weekend at the Masked Rider Open on the campus of Texas Tech University.
No doubt winning at the Green House was going to be a tough task. Much like its most recent road trip to Arley Bryant Gym in Concordia, the Barton Community College women's basketball team had not won in the building since 2007.
That mid-conference grind. The time of the schedule where the early conference pep is gone and the closing excitement is still a few games away. It is the time of the year teams have to dig down and just grind.
