EL DORADO - After a tough stretch of competition against NCAA foes, the Barton Community College cross-country teams returned to NJCAA competition Friday at the Ollie Isom Invitational at Butler in El Dorado. The men took advantage, placing second behind the legs of Sampson Laari. Host Butler won the event with a score of 25 with Barton taking second, 10 points ahead of third place Cowley College. Cougar women make it back-to-back West wins

Some portions of a schedule are tougher than others. Thanks to a make-up reshuffling earlier this year, the Barton Community College women's basketball had about as tough a 3-game stretch as anyone in the nation will play this season.
