After enduring a stretch of 16 games in 16 days the Barton Community College was back at it after just one day of rest. This time, though, it was just a single game. A typical midweek game against a junior varsity team.

After bolting to a great start to the season the Barton Community College softball team found itself with a 4-game losing streak after dropping the opener at Garden City Saturday. The Cougars ended that in emphatic style with an 11-2 win in the finale.

Walker selected MVP of Jayhawk West

Ahmad Walker established himself as one of the top players in the Jayhawk West during a terrific sophomore season. The coaches in the conference felt he was the best, selecting the Barton Community College guard as the Most Valuable Player in the conference this season.

Anthony tabbed 2nd team All Jayhawk West

A pair of standout seasons ended with a second team All Jayhawk West selection for Phikala Anthony. The Memphis sophomore just missed a first team selection as the highest vote total on the second team. She was the lone Barton Community College Cougars to earn recognition.
