Danceography has recently added couples classes instructed by Matt and Jaimie Fehr to the studio. These classes focus on classic country dances including 2 step, 10 step, 20 step, waltz, and western swing, but when time allows, they also throw in several other fun numbers such as the electric slide and cotton eyed joe. Matt and Jaimie have been dancing together for over 16 years, learning a multitude of dances through both formal and informal classes. They enjoy teaching others in a fun, laid back atmosphere, helping couples to learn at their own pace.

In 2010, Kansas enacted legislation requiring contractors and landlords to follow Lead Safe Work Practices (LSWP) when remodeling homes and certain commercial entities built prior to 1978. Contractors and landlords must assume lead is present in paint and stains for all pre-78 homes. Contractors are required to complete certification and to conduct their work in compliance with the LSWP. One struggle facing certification for contactors is the lack of local certification classes. Kathleen Rippel is retiring Aug. 1, after 17 years of service with the Central Kansas Library System. Rippel served as a Reference and Rural Services Consultant, Interlibrary Loan and Technical Services Consultant and worked with libraries and library patrons in 17 counties across central Kansas. Throughout her career with the Central Kansas Library System, Kathy Rippel staunchly supported resource sharing and shared her vision that all Kansans were entitled to equal access of information and library materials, no matter where they lived.
