C&V Home Improvement celebrates Grand Opening in new location

C&V Home Improvement has been serving Central and Western Kansas for over 35 years. Since 2011, the growing company has been under the ownership of Matt Hoisington. When founder Dennis Carson sold his business to Hoisington, the two worked to move the company's headquarters from Ellinwood to Great Bend, with an office at 2407 10th Street. After two years of continual growth, C&V Home Improvement once again needed room to expand. In October, they hosted a Grand Opening Celebration at their even larger location at 1107 E. 10th Street in Great Bend.

Rosewood Ranch horse therapy instructor Melinda Suppes took part in a grueling exam last May in Loveland, Colo. She endured four days of a workshop, written testing and field work, all with the goal of becoming a certified instructor with Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. It wasn't until more than five months later that she learned the results of her exam.

The Hansen Foundation funds grant to HaysMed

The Dane G. Hansen Foundation has awarded the HaysMed Foundation a $100,000 grant towards the purchase of digital tomosynthesis equipment at the HaysMed Breast Care Center. HaysMed will be the second medical center in the State, with the University of Kansas Medical Center, to have this latest technology in mammography.
