United Way Golf Tournament

The winning team of the Eagle Radio, Walnut Bowl United Way Mini Golf Tournament were presented with a check from Jim Mayberrry of Walnut Bowl. The team played for Wal-mart and over 30 teams played to help raise funds for United Way of Central Kansas and th 19 agencies it supports. JcPenney won for most teams represented and will receive a breakfast courtesy of Julie Smith director of United Way.

Stanion Wholesale Electric Charity Golf Classic

Stanion Wholesale Electric Company just completed it's ninth Stanion Charity Golf Classic for the benefit of Special Olympics Kansas. This year's event was held at Falcon Lakes Golf Club in Basehor. The tournament raised $81,260 this year, which brings the nine year total to $695,000 since it's inception. Otto Buche, executive vice-president of Stanion is tournament chairman.

As a result Riley is able to purchase books to go along with its anti-bullying curriculum. Heart Association declares GBRH Emergent Stroke Ready

Great Bend Regional Hospital has been documented as able to adequately care for a stroke patient brought to the facility, the American Heart Association and the Kansas State Stroke Task Force announced last Wednesday.
