On May 13, Dickson Oklahoma Public Schools named Jeff Parsons the 2011-2012 "Teacher of the Year" for the district. Parsons was nominated for this award by his fellow teachers. He has taught 3rd and 5th grade at Dickson Upper Elementary for the last four years. Parsons is a 1990 graduate of Great Bend High School.
