Birthing Classes for expecting mothers offered at Great Bend Regional Hospital

Great Bend Regional Hospital is well-known for its Women and Children's Center, which delivers approximately 40 babies per month to parents from all over central and southwest Kansas. Great Bend Regional Hospital leads the charge in Heart Disease Awareness Initiative

As a leading healthcare provider in central Kansas, Great Bend Regional Hospital was proud to lead the charge in raising awareness for heart disease in women on Friday, Feb. 5, which was National Wear Red Day. The nationwide initiative is organized by the American Heart Association as part of American Heart Month. According to the nonprofit organization, heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year, killing approximately one woman every 80 seconds. However, 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action.
