Great Bend Regional Hospital implements delayed bathing policy for newborns

Breastfeeding is a high priority for the obstetrics staff at Great Bend Regional Hospital. It's the reason their facility has maintained their status as a High Five for Mom and Baby Hospital. This means that the nursing staff emphasizes skin-to-skin time after birth, and supports and encourages exclusive breastfeeding whenever possible. And recently, the nursing staff implemented a new delayed bathing policy to even further support successful breastfeeding for patients and their newborns.

Bureau of Land Management to install hot tap into federal helium pipeline in Rush County

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Amarillo Field Office, has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) relating to installation of a hot tap into a federal helium pipeline that runs through Rush County. The hot tap will accommodate the transfer of crude helium from the BLM-operated and maintained federal helium pipeline to one designed and built by IACX Energy, which will then process the gas into market-grade helium. Work on the installation is expected to begin in early March.
