GBHS sends 7 to Kansas State Lions Band

Seven members of the Great Bend High School Band were members of the Kansas State Lions Band that participated in a special five-day session at Friends University in Wichita from May 30 through June 3. After four days of rehearsal, a special concert was presented. The band was under the direction of Dr. John W. Taylor, professor of music at Friends University.

Spring 2017 Dean’s list

Warrensburg, Mo. - Nicholas W. Warren, Great Bend, earned a spot on the University of Central Missouri 3.50-3.99 Dean's List. Each semester, the Dean's List is divided into two parts. The first list includes the names of students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average, and the second list includes the names of students who attained a grade point average of 3.50 to 3.99.
