A state university in California has decided that anthropology can be substituted for U.S. history, raising the ire of at least one history professor, who thinks something vital is lost in the exchange.

The Community Scholarship, Inc. of Claflin awarded scholarships to 19 graduates and 14 alumni at the Central Plains High School graduation ceremony on May 17. Many donors, alumni, and organizations made it possible to award $38,695.00 to the graduates and alumni to help with their college expenses.
North Central Kansas Technical College, with campuses in Beloit and Hays announces the recipients of the Technical Honor Scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year. Scholarship recipients sign a letter of intent to attend a technical program at NCK Tech and are nominated by a high school instructor. The awards are based on student's strong work ethic, good attendance, self-motivation and high quality of character. In addition, students demonstrate their technical skills with the NCK Tech instructor in the selected program area.
The Sterling College Class of 2015 walked across the stage in Gleason Physical Education Center on May 16, to mark the end of their time at Sterling College. President Scott Rich shook the hands of each graduate as they were welcomed into the family of Sterling College Alumni.
