Sterling College Homecoming Musical “Pirates of Penzance” Performed October 7-9

Sterling College's Homecoming musical, "Pirates of Penzance," will run at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-9 in Culbertson Auditorium. Tickets are available through the Sterling College box office and can be reserved by calling 620-278-4279. Box Office hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 4-8 and 7 to 8 p.m. Oct. 7-9. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students/children/seniors 65 and over. Reservations not paid for by 7:50 p.m. on the night of the reservation will be subject to release for general sale.

Six authors and illustrators from the United States and Japan will present to area third- through fifth-grade students from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7 and Friday, Oct. 8 at Fort Hays State University. FHSU hosts the conference every other year.

Nex-Tech Wireless School Rebate Program

Nex-Tech Wireless would like to announce the second quarter results for the Holy Family Great Bend School district with a donation of $102.85 and a donation of $50.57 for the Central Kansas Christian Academy School district, from the School Rebate Program. The School Rebate Program, offered exclusively by Nex-Tech Wireless, was created to assist local schools in raising additional funds to be used as determined by the participating school. The program, which was launched in the fall of 2006, has donated over $100,000 to local schools throughout the Nex-Tech Wireless service area.
