Central Kansas Christian Academy (CKCA)at 215 McKinley in Great Bend will be hosting its annual come-and-go open house between 6:30 and 8 p.m. on April 3rd. Teachers and staff will be on hand to provide tours of the facility and answer any questions perspective students and parents may have. Thirteen Kansas State University students were recently selected to serve on the Student Alumni Board, a group of approximately 35 students who promote and serve the university and the K-State Alumni Association. Each year, students are selected after an extensive interview process.
Randi McAffee, Great Bend, was one of sixteen collegiate members and five honorary members recently inducted in NoNoSo, an alumnae women's honor society at Washburn University. The organization recognizes exceptional Washburn women based on their intelligence, creativity, personality, scholarship, leadership, moral integrity and accomplishment. McAffee is a senior at Washburn.
It promises to be a night full of test anxiety, the battle of the sexes and Zombies as Sterling High School presents their spring theatre offering – A Night of Comic One-Acts next Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29. Over 30 Sterling High School students will be featured in the cast of three one-acts including many freshmen new to the Sterling stage as well as theatre veterans. Curtain time for the comedies will be 7:30 p.m. in the Sterling High School Theatre.

Taylor Ann Latham of Great Bend has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars for her commitment to the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service. NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average and class standing. Taylor recently completed her freshman year on the Dean's Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA at Kansas State University.
