The University of Kansas School of Law honored Class of 2015 graduates at a hooding ceremony May 16. During the ceremony, nine students received awards for distinguishing themselves in scholarship, leadership and service to the law school and the community.
As the 128 McPherson College bachelor's students and master of education students in the class of 2015 marked their graduation at commencement, they received reminders about where to place their focus in life. Dr. James M. Dodson was commencement speaker at the ceremony on May 17, as the college bestowed its first honorary doctorate since 2002 on him.
Nicole Berger of Hoisington, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Berger was initiated at Emporia State University.
