“Jane Eyre” to take the stage Oct. 9 at Sterling College Oct. 1

Music will fill Culbertson Auditorium Oct. 9-11, as Sterling College students and community members unite to produce "Jane Eyre," a musical based on Charlotte Bronte's classic novel. The show will open at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Seating is reserved and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, children and seniors. The box office will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. starting Monday, Oct. 6, for reservations by phone at 620-278-4265.

Student ambassadors start season with historic tour

ELLINWOOD – The Ellinwood Sunflower Bank Community Ambassadors kicked off their first session with a field trip to Ellinwood's 1894 Hotel Wolf which housed Starr Antiques and has been a cornerstone business in Ellinwood for over 35 years. The Hotel is directly over a portion of the old Ellinwood Underground World and has a rich history of Ellinwood.
