Prince of Peace rummage sale set for May 27 - 28

Prince of Peace Parish presents the Huge Rummage Sale of the Year: Gardening, kitchen, clothing, shoes, fitness, fragrances, automotive, outdoors, books, toys, decor, tools and much more. On Friday, May 27, the sale begins at 4 p.m and runs until 8 p.m. Saturday May 28 the sale begins at 7 a.m. and is expected to run until 1 p.m.

Blues HOF members coming to Macksville

Afternoon tea and savory delights

The Heartland Center for Spirituality staff and advisory council is in the midst of planning and preparations for the second annual "Hero for Heartland" Afternoon Tea and Savory Delights. This event will take place on Sunday April 24 with a come and go Tea and Tours of the Great Bend Dominican Motherhouse from 1 – 4 p.m. Advisory council members Sr Jane Belanger, Carrie Buhler, Keith Funk, Danny Ginn, Dixie Heinrich, Ken Holderread, Pattie McGurk, Sclie Murray, Ken Moeder and Denise Wilkens along with committee members, Karen Axman, Mary Klinge and Judy Spangler have been instrumental in the planning stages.

Annual UCC/Methodist hog feed Sunday

ELLINWOOD - The UCC and Methodist Churches will hold their annual hog feed Sunday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at 701 N. Fritz, Ellinwood. Proceeds from free will donations will go to the Church Missions funds in both churches. Great food and joyous fellowship are promised for all.

Faith Community Church presents far east minister Dayoung Kimn April 16 and 17

Dayoung Kimn a fourth generation Christian born and raised in Seoul, Korea will be ministering at Faith Community Church April 16 and 17. Dayoung immigrated to the US in 1979. He received his training from "Youth with a Mission," of Hawaii and received his ordination from the International Church of Foursquare Gospel.

​Altar Society accepting orders for kolaches

The Prince of Peace Altar Society is taking orders for its spring Kolache Bake and Take. Orders for kolaches and cinnamon rolls will be accepted until 400 pans have been sold. Pickup time will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 15, at St. Rose Auditorium.

Rosary in the Sky

The St. Joseph School children, teachers and parish members gathered to pray the rosary on Monday, Oct. 19th in the Parish Center. The month of October was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the daily recitation of the rosary was encouraged. The 75 students of St. Joseph School, ranging in age from kindergarten through 8th grade, stood silently and reverently as the rosary was prayed.
