Mission invites Christians to G.R.O.W.

For three evenings in February, area Christians are invited to a conference on growing in faith in their daily lives and relationships. Prince of Peace Parish, in cooperation with the national ministries of Heart to Heart Communications, will host the series God Revives Our World (G.R.O.W.), presented by Heart to Heart founders Father Norman Douglas and Larry Vuillemin.

Christian rockers coming to Great Bend

Christian rock band Manic Drive will be the headliner at a concert set for Sunday, Feb. 9, at First Assembly of God Church, 601 Patton Road in Great Bend. Consumed by Fire and Ryan Stevenson will also perform. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the first band is scheduled to perform at 6.

Father Murphy, oldest Catholic priest in Kansas, retires

OLMITZ - Father Ultan Murphy, 87, retired Jan. 3, after 33 years as pastor of St. Ann's Parish in Olmitz. At his retirement, he had the distinction of being the oldest Catholic pastor in the state of Kansas.

The toss of a coin on a football field is the start of a new game, the exchange of vows in a wedding ceremony is the start of a new life-long relationship and the first day on a job is the start of new opportunities. First UMC to host Unity Prayer Service

Everyone is invited to the service, which will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, 2123 Forest. The speaker will be the Rev.
