Peace Church will celebrate their 125th Anniversary at the 10:30 a.m. worship on Nov. 21, 429 N.E. 140th Street, 5 miles north of Hudson. A meal will be served at noon. November 13 isn't just the opening day of pheasant season this year. It's also the day for people to hunt for old favorites and new treats at the annual Stafford United Methodist Women's annual bazaar. While the date has changed, the items shoppers have come to expect will continue to be part of the event, which will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church basement.

The WELCA group of the Hope Lutheran Church in Rush Center will hold their annual Bazaar on Nov. 5. Lunch will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. with an auction to begin at 7 p.m. conducted by auctioneer Jason Dellett. Items offered at the auction include hand quilted quilts ranging from baby size to queen size, tea towels, pillowcases, hand crafted items and baked goods of all sorts.
This year marks the 11th annual "Journey to Bethlehem" on Dec. 11 and 12, to be hosted by the Jetmore and Hanston United Methodist Churches with help from other area churches. The "Journey" takes visitors through first century Bethlehem to experience the original Christmas. "Travelers" meet the Wiseman, census taker, tax collector, inn keepers, elders, shepherds, and angels as they pass through the gates of Bethlehem. They will come upon a market place full of sights and sounds complete with live animals, and culminate the journey with an encounter with Mary, Joseph and the Christ child.

The Associations of Churches Annual Chicken and Noodle Supper will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the First Assembly of God Church,601 Patton Road in Great Bend. A free will donation will be accepted. Proceeds will go to the Barton County Association of Churches Emergency Aid Fund.
The women of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Holyrood will hold their annual Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 in the Fellowship Hall, 301 East Nassau. Chili, chiclcen "Halo" noodle soup, sandwiches, pie and coffee will be served.
Holy Name Parish of Bushton will host its annual Fall Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 24, serving a roast beef dinner in the parish hall, located three and one-half miles southwest of Bushton. Other activities will include a raffle, featuring a queen-size quilt as grand prize, bingo, cake wheel and children's games. Cost the meal, including a salad bar and pie, is $8 for adults, $4 for children six – 12, and free for those 5 and under.

"Where God guides and provides" is the central theme for "Wilderness Escape" Vacation Bible School at First Christian Church, 5230 Broadway Ave., Great Bend. The church will hold its annual VBS from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, through Thursday, July 24.
Actors from Prince of Peace Parish will host a pageant performance of the symbolic story, "The Miraculous Apparitions of the Virgin Mary," at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, in the Shafer Art Gallery at Barton Community College. The Our Lady of Guadalupe Pageant is being done in conjunction with the "Estamos Aqui" exhibit at Shafer Gallery.
The Trinity Lutheran Church Social Concerns Team will host its annual fundraiser and the proceeds this year will be donated to the Oaks Indian Mission in Oklahoma. MANHATTAN - There have been a number of videos interviewing people concerning their knowledge of historical and political information. This method of interviewing started with Jay Leno. It was then picked up by Sean Hannity, and later by several others. The results are both interesting and concerning.
The International Spy Academy is a Vacation Bible School where kids get to be special agents for God, according to sponsors at Community Christian Church in Great Bend. This Vacation Bible School starts Sunday and will be offered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. July 20-24 at the church, located at 253 NE 30 Road, just east of Barton Community College. It is intended for children who have completed kindergarten, through middle school.
