The Heartland Center for Spirituality will explore Christian contemplation through photography with an online study of the book "Eyes of the Heart: Photography as a Christian Contemplative Practice," by Christine Valters Paintner.
Trinity United Methodist Church, 5700 Broadway, will be the site of a Joyful Praise Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. The concert will include the chancel choir, kid's choir, Trinity Ringers, a french horn quartet, vocal and instrumental soloists and duets and guest singers from Escue Chapel.
Terry Fellers, 59, didn't need to watch the movie "Heaven is for Real" to know that is the case. After seeing the story of a 5-year-old boy who claims to have visited heaven during a near-death experience, Fellers decided it was time to share his own experience of heaven.
There will be a Breakout in Worship at 7 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Perkins restaurant, 2920 10th St. Worship will be led by Christina Ball, and the message will be delivered by Christy Burris of Stafford. A freewill love offering will be collected.

• "Increase the Reach Summit" presented by Rev. Scott Hinkle will be held at Faith Community Church on Saturday, April 12th from 9 a.m. until noon. The church is located 1 mile west of 10th and Patton Road in Grea Bend. The Rev. Hinkle will also be speaking in the Sunday Morning Worship Service, April 13 at Faith Community Church at 10:30 a.m. Both services are open to the public. Scott Hinkle, an evangelist now headquartered in the Dallas /Forth Worth Metroplex once lived a life that pointed to only one direction…prison and ultimately an early grave.
SEWARD - The Most Rev. John Balthasar Brungardt, bishop of the diocese of Dodge City, will officiate the Mass on Memorial Day, May 25, at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Seward. Bishop Brungardt will also install a first-class relic of Blessed Jose Luis Sanchez del Rio.
