See You at the Pole kickoff rally set for Sept. 21

As a reminder that God hasn't been expelled from public schools, students plan to gather around school flagpoles later this month for prayer. But first, One Hope ministries in Great Bend will host a kick-off rally for See You At The Pole 2014. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, in the Great Bend High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

​New Testament study begins at First Congregational UCC

A New Testament study, facilitated by Pastor Julie Shields, will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3400 21st St. This study offers a look at the New Testament writings, the authors, a look at what the circumstances of the times and for what audience were they written. The ultimate goal is to understand and appreciate these books and how they apply to our lives today.

Presbyterian Women selling Schermer pecans
