Presbyterian Women are selling Schermer's Pecans from Georgia. The one-pound packages of halves and pieces are $10 and are fresh this year for baking and salads. St. John’s Episcopal announces schedule

St. John's Episcopal Church, 2701 17th St., Great Bend, welcomes back the Rev. Phyllis Flory, who has been enrolled in a hospital chaplain class at Kansas City and has completed the course. Hoisington Bible Church hosting reunion service

HOISINGTON - In 1941, several believers in Hoisington organized a Bible class called the Hoisington Bible School. Every Sunday afternoon this group of 10 to 15 people met for service. In 1942, the church began to flourish and the name Hoisington Bible School was changed to Hoisington Bible Church (HBC). Eventually the need to incorporate led the church to file appropriate papers with the state of Kansas on Aug. 26, 1943.
