At 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, American Baptist International Missionary in Laos and Thailand, Matt Mann, will talk about his work among street children who are victims of human trafficking. The service will take place at Central Baptist Church, corner of Lakin and Harrison. Human Trafficking is an urgent issue that many churches around the world are fighting. The Torres Family Ministry at Great Bend King UMC

Presbyterians hold “Undercover Mission Possible” challenge

Each fall the members of the Presbyterian Church receive an Undercover Mission Possible Assignment patterned after the old TV series "Mission Impossible". They are challenged to purchase "undercover clothing" such as underwear and sweat pants for all ages of elementary school children. Also 25% of a PCUSA Peacemaking Offering taken the first part of October remains in Great Bend. The church Session designated this money to go to the Undercover Mission Possible event this year and a Wal-Mart gift card was purchased which will be used by the schools for unexpected needs throughout the year. Speaker to share her story

On Saturday, Oct. 22, Surrendered Family Ministries will be holding the next Prairie Fire Meeting at 7 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, 601 S. Patton in Great Bend.
