Fifty-five students, along with priests and parishioners from the Diocese of Dodge City, traveled to Topeka on Wednesday to participate in a march and rally on the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
The Central Kansas Dream Center Chapel will be the location for the ninth annual Hearts Aflame Women's Conference, coming Saturday, Feb. 7. The east doors to the Dream Center, 2100 Broadway Ave. in Great Bend, will open at 8 a.m. with programs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Women of Faith Unwrap the Bible live simulcast will be shown Feb. 20 and 21 at First Southern Baptist Church, 3301 19th St. in Great Bend. The two-day event will feature speakers Christine Caine, Priscilla Shirer, Lisa Harper, Sheila Walsh and Charlotte Gambill.
Trinity Ladies Fellowship of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, will hold their January joint meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, in the church parlor. Their guest speakers will be Christy Tustin and Melanie Calcara, representatives of Prairie Godmother Funds.

The Barton County Association of Churches is planning its annual Christian Unity Service. It will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18 in the Central Kansas Dream Center Chapel, 2100 Broadway Ave. The chapel is located in what was formerly the gymnasium when the building housed Roosevelt Junior High School.
