GBHS forensics places at Hoisington Tournament

The Great Bend High School forensics team traveled to the Hoisington Speech Tournament on March 9. The team of 13 students competed against 15 different schools in 26 events. Saint Francis Community Services (a provider of foster care, adoption, and family preservation services) will offer a free, 10 week course, Partnering for Safety and Permanence - Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting, for individuals interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents. On Saturday May 4th the Great Bend Forensics squad traveled to Emporia High School for the 5A State Championship Speech Tournament. They competed in 16 events, which gave them a full entry. Placing 8th out of 25 schools, the team had five events break into semifinals.
