Traffic stop leads to drug charges in Pawnee County

LARNED - Joseph Shane Allen, 42 of Pierceville, made a first appearance in the Pawnee County District Court Monday afternoon concerning felony drug charges. Allen was arrested by the Pawnee County Sheriff's Department without incident following a routine traffic stop on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Bushton man dies following Thursday night altercation

LORRAINE - Kevin L. Wagner, 55, of Bushton died Saturday in a Wichita hospital after receiving a head injury Thursday during an altercation in Lorraine, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation reported Monday afternoon. The preliminary autopsy report indicated he died from blunt force trauma.

Three arrested after search warrant

Three people were arrested on drug and other related charges at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday after Barton County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant in the 5900 block of Eisenhower Court in the city of Great Bend, Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said.
