Pay raises, not tax raises, planned at BCC

State, county could be eligible for disaster relief

A state of local disaster emergency could be declared for Kansas in the aftermath of wind, rains storms and flooding that raked the area June 25-28 and June 30-July 4, Barton County Emergency Management Director Amy Miller told county commissioners Monday morning. Now, the state is wanting damage estimates from all 105 counties.

Commission OKs Extension budget, honors fair

Huelskamp staff to host veterans’ office hours in Great Bend

Congressman Tim Huelskamp announced that an official representative specializing in Veterans casework will be available in Great Bend from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, at Front Door Community Center. He welcomes Veterans to come by if they are struggling to navigate bureaucratic red tape, to share concerns about the VA, or just to get helpful information about getting the care they have earned.
