The Barton County Association of Retired School Personnel will meet at 11:30 a.m. on December 10 at 11:30 a.m. at the Club at StoneRidge, 24th and Frey in Great Bend. President Rose Kelly will be in charge of the meeting. Installation of officers for 2011 will be held. Members are asked to continue to record their hours of volunteer service.

"Tulip Mania" was the craze that gripped the Dutch in the early 1600's when travelers from the Middle East brought the cup-shaped flowers to the Netherlands. Tuesday evening, members of the Delta Tau Sorority gathered for their annual decorating of the Historical Society Museum for Christmas. The selected theme this year is: "Every time a bell rings, and angel gets his wings." The museum is adorned with gold and greenery, and features a variety of festive angels and bells. Christmas is alive at the museum, and all are encouraged to visit this Holiday season and experience it's beauty.
