Ellinwood Food Bank has new hours

ELLINWOOD - The Ellinwood Food Bank has been around for 25 years, providing food to those who are in need. Karen Schmidt will now be in charge of the program, taking the reins from Lorraine Rickert. Schmidt has announced new hours for the Food Bank.

Sandzen art sale establishes schoalrships for Hoisington students

Two Birger Sandzén paintings were returned to Hoisington USD 431 in late February, to the relief and surprise of Superintendent Bill Lowry. He was amazed at their appearance. The paintings were actually high-quality photographic reproductions of the original pieces that the district sold at auction last summer, along with a small Sandzén watercolor painting.

WIlborn receives 1 rating for piano solo

HOISINGTON - Hoisington High School freshman Hannah Wilborn, performed at the State Piano Festival at Tabor College in Hillsboro. She received a I rating for her piano solo. She is the daughter of Brian and Cindy Wilborn.

KDOT presents unified byway promotion in GB
