You are required to appear before this Court at 11:15am on February 17th, 2009 Barton County Courthouse, Third Floor, Room 302, Great Bend, Kansas, or prior to that time file your written response to the pleading with the Clerk of this Court. If, after a child has been adjudged to be a Child in Need of Care, the Court finds a parent or parents to be unfit, the Court may make an order permanently terminating the parent or parents parental rights.

DISTRICT NO. 328
ELLSWORTH COUNTY
STATE OF KANSAS

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to KSA 25-2018(b) a General School Election to elect four (4) Board Members will be conducted in Unified School District No. 328, Ellsworth County, State of Kansas, on the 7th day of April 2009.
Unified School District No. 328 has seven (7) Board member districts with voting limited to the electors of the member district in districts one (1) through six (6) and voting “at large” in district seven (7). To be filled in this election are POSITION 2 (UNEXPIRED TERM), POSITION NO. 4, POSITION NO. 5 and POSITION NO. 6.
Board members will be elected for a term of four years beginning on the 1st day of July 2009.
Candidates shall file for such offices with the County Clerk, Ellsworth County, Kansas. Each such filing shall be made before 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Each such filing shall be accompanied by a filing fee of five dollars ($5.00) or by a petition for such candidacy signed by not less that 50 electors residing in the school district or by a number of such electors equal to not less than 10% of the electors residing in such member district. Candidates must file for a specific position and must be a qualified elector residing in the Board Member District in which that position is to be filled. No candidate shall be permitted to withdraw this candidacy after the last date provided by law for filing such candidacy.
Notice is further given that if more that three (3) candidates file for any one position of the Board there will be a Primary Election on Tuesday, the 3rd day of March 2009. The names of the three (3) candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each position at the Primary Election, if one is held, shall be placed on the ballot at the General Election on April 7, 2009.
