Cheri Ann Werner 1957 - 2018

MANHATTAN — Cheri Ann Werner, age 61, of Manhattan, died Aug. 7, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born July 24, 1957, in Great Bend, Kan., the daughter of John and Leona (Ambers) Werner. Cheri graduated from Great Bend High School in 1975. She was the co-owner and operator of Appleseed Art and Frame Shop and had worked for Peace Lutheran Church in the office both in Manhattan.
Cheri was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She loved working with her hands and was a wonderful artist and enjoyed making pottery.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother Craig. Survivors include her three sons, Tyler Currie, Tucker Currie and his wife Kelsey and their daughter Violet, and Brent Hayen all of Manhattan; her mother Leona Werner of Great Bend, Kan., and her sisters, Meri Werner of Manhattan, and Karen Steffan of Great Bend.
Cheri willed her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11th, at the Peace Lutheran Church, 2500 Kimball Avenue, Manhattan, with Reverend Michael Ide officiating.
