ELLINWOOD – Ellinwood’s Tyson Martinez scored 24 points and dished out four assists as the Eagles roared past Kinsley 58-25 in a Central Prairie League basketball game.
Ellinwood (6-11, 2-4 CPL) outscored Kinsley 36-10 in the second half. Joel Kasselman contributed 10 points and seven rebounds. Blake Garman had four steals.

ELLINWOOD – Ellinwood’s girls outscored Kinsley 31-11 after halftime for a stunning 49-44 Central Prairie League basketball victory over the Coyotes. The Eagles trailed 33-18 at halftime.
Ellinwood (6-11, 4-2 CPL) was paced by Brittney Beck with 19 points and Allison Panning with 14 points. Ellinwood converted 28 of 43 free throws, including 12 by Beck.

Central Plains (12-5, 4-1 CPL) placed Brett Liebl (17), Devin Ryan (15) and Alex Hickel (12) in double figures. The Oilers led 20-9 after one quarter and 40-16 at halftime. Hunter Morgan scored nine points.

OTIS – The No. 1 state-ranked Class 2A Ness City boys roared past outmanned Otis-Bison 67-34 in a battle for second place in the Central Prairie League.
The Eagles (16-1, 5-1 CPL) were led by Chandler Stiawalt with 22 points and Peyton Fellhoelter with 10 points. The Eagles outscored the Cougars 35-13 in the second and third quarters.
No. 7 state-ranked Class 1A Div. 2 Otis-Bison (12-5, 3-2 CPL) was paced by Maitland Wiltse with 17 points.

Bridgon Russell led Macksville (12-5) with 21 points and five steals. Karson
Waters grabbed 13 rebounds. Jacob Rein had eight points and eight of 19 assists.

MACKSVILLE – Fowler’s Mallory Bergkamp scored 21 points to spark the Goldbugs past Macksville’s girls 60-45 in a non-league basketball game Friday.
Sophie Filbert led Macksville (7-10) with 15 points and three steals. Emma Stimatze had six rebounds and Lexas Wright dished out four assists.

HOSINGTON – Hoisington’s boys raced by Halstead 51-42 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
Hoisington (8-9, 4-3) started the game with a 7-0 run and keyed a 16-7 third quarter with seven points on one trip down the court. Brenner Donovan (15), Grant Dolechek (14) and Alex Schremmer (10) scored in double figures. Cameron Davis grabbed eight rebounds. Dolechek had three assists and Brenner Donovan had three steals.
Halstead (10-7, 3-4 CKL) was led by Kason O’Neal with 10 points.

Halstead (13-4, 5-2 CKL) was paced by McKenzie Anderson with 19 points and Kodie Casey with 10. Hoisington (8-9, 3-4 CKL) was led by Emma Harmon with 11 points and Vikki Donetz with eight points.
