Lyons softball beats Cardinals

HOISINGTON — Bailey Hollinger and Alexis Villanueva each drove in four runs to spark Lyons past Hoisington 20-3 April 13 in a Central Kansas League softball game. The second game was postponed by rain.
Fiona Jaime drove in three runs with four hits. Katie Marshall drove in three runs with three hits. Pitcher Ruth Pineda earned the victory.
Auroa Ingram drove in Emma Harmon with the Cardinals’ first run after a forceout by Harmon and a single by Trinity Dolezal. Ingram’s single drove home Dolezal and Harmon scored on a second-inning wild pitch. Pitcher Sydney Boxberger was tagged with the loss.
Smoky Valley visits Hoisington Tuesday and the Cardinals are scheduled to travel to Nickerson Friday.
