Larned golfer places first

LARNED — Larned’s Colton Massey birdied six holes for a 1-over-par 71 that captured medalist honors at the Larned Golf Invitational. Massey birdied Nos. 4, 8, 12, 13, 16 and 17 to offset four bogeys and a double bogey.
Hodgeman County’s Dalton Beougher was runner-up (78) and Larned’s Braeden Corman placed third (83), keyed by birdies at Nos. 13 and 16. Bryce Miller of Central Plains placed ninth (87).
Hodgeman County (354) placed first followed by Hays-Thomas More Prep (357) and Larned (358).
