Speakers announced for upcoming leadership conference in Great Bend

POSTED July 13, 2017 2:34 p.m.

With only two weeks left until the first ever Vet Leader One-Day, the impressive line-up of entrepreneurial speakers has been announced. The conference is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 28, in Great Bend.
“We are excited to bring together a panel of experts on all areas of running a business, including finance, accounting, marketing, leadership, and veterinary opportunities,” said Dr. Nels Lindberg, founder of the Vet Leader One-Day conference. “Since only one of the five speakers is specific to the veterinary industry, we have been asked to open the invitation and include all business owners, not just veterinarians. We hope all types of professionals in the Midwest will attend this phenomenal continuing education event.”
Each of the keynote speakers is considered an expert in their industry, and will make sure that every participant will leave with at least one or two practical applications they can implement in their business right away:
• Jon Pope, CEO of People’s State Bank.
• Jason Mayers, CFO of Marmies and owner of MPIRE Properties.
• Rachel Mawhirter, owner of Marketing Maven Consulting.
• Dr. Dan Thompson, Professor for K-State College of Veterinary Medicine.
• Lindberg, owner of Animal Medical Center and Consultant
Lindberg is asked to speak all over the country on veterinary practices as well as leadership. He has several published articles in peer reviewed publications, and is well known for his ability to say it like it is. As the founder of the Vet Leader One-Day Conference, his goal is to impart wisdom on prioritizing people - employees, customers, and family.
Registration will open at 10 a.m. at The Page Banquet Room, 2920 10th Street in Great Bend, with the first keynote address beginning at 11 a.m. Meals and refreshments are included, and there will be a three-course ribeye luncheon along with an after-hours social and an open bar. A few of the key sponsors will be exhibiting, and breaks will give participants time to network.
Tickets are $129. Those who register early will also receive a bonus gift at no additional charge. Veterinary students can attend at a reduced rate of $69 per person. The event is eligible for RACE continuing education credit. Learn more about the Vet leader One-Day on July 28, and register at drnels.com/events.
