Summer hours in effect; summer calendars available

POSTED May 16, 2017 4:45 p.m.

Hello from the Great Bend Public Library. We cannot believe that we are less than two weeks away from our Summer Library Program. We have some awesome events planned for all ages so make sure to check out our website or come in and grab our summer calendar. Registration starts on June 1, but our kickoff event is June 2. Thad Beach and his Band in a Bucket will perform at 4 p.m.
Next week we have Crochet @ the Library at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday. Tuesday’s Tech Tuesday Class is canceled. On Friday, May 26, there is Crochet @ the Library at 2 p.m.
We are currently on summer hours: Mondays-Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we are closed on Sundays.
We will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 29.
The Crochet Club has started crocheting infant hats again. They have kits available for a suggested donation of $5. These kits include a crochet hook or knitting needles, a skein of yarn and free patterns. There are also packets of patterns available. The Crochet Club would like to ask for donations of hooks or needles and soft, machine washable, and dryable yarn. Thank you for reading the article, have a great weekend, and we hope to see you soon.
