Vehicle crash sends cyclist to hospital

The Great Bend Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday at 820 Main St.
According to an eye witness, a dark blue full-size van was heading north on Main Street when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole in front of John Jaco Realty.
The driver of the vehicle backed up off the curb after a few attempts and backed into another vehicle that was parked in front of Hejny Retail Liquor Store located at 821 Main St.
After the vehicle backed up into the truck, the driver of the van attempted to go back south on Main Street and drove into the yard of a house at 812 Main St.
At some point during this accident the driver of the van also hit a pedestrian that was on a bicycle heading south on Main St.
