Preceptor Pi gives to Birthright and Dolly Parton Imagination Library

POSTED November 3, 2017 1:18 p.m.

Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi chose Birthright as one of its October service projects. Members brought diapers to the October meetings to be donated to Birthright.
Also in October, the chapter decided to sponsor five children in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library project with a monetary donation. In November, chapter members will provide Thanksgiving food items for the Barton County Food Bank.
The chapter’s Reception Sisters assisted with two wedding receptions in October. Reception Sisters is a fundraising venture of the chapter in which members are available to assist with receptions for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and similar events to raise funds for the chapter’s service projects. For more information about Reception Sisters, contact Susan Brown, 620-793-5265.
As a cultural enrichment activity of the sorority, members attended the Oct. 3 Golden Belt Community Concert featuring the Inspiration of Broadway. As their social event for the month, members and their guests met at the Lone Wolf restaurant on Oct. 28 in Ellinwood. At their Oct. 17 meeting, Susan Coulson presented a program of little-known facts about Halloween.
