Preceptor Pi gives to Boxes of Love for elderly

POSTED February 6, 2018 12:46 p.m.

Preceptor Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi gave socks, snacks, candy, gloves and many personal items to United Way’s Boxes of Love to be given to the elderly for Valentine’s Day.
Preceptor Pi continues to raise funds for the chapter’s community service projects through its venture, Reception Sisters, in which chapter members assist with receptions for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and similar events. For more information about Reception Sisters, contact Susan Brown, 620-793-5265.
Members and their guests met for a chapter social at Delgado’s on Jan. 19. With programs in January, members found out how much they knew about their U.S. citizenship by taking a citizenship quiz and learned 40 things cardiologists do to protect their hearts.
