Delbert D. Goering 1927 - 2009

MOUNDRIDGE — Delbert D. Goering, 81, died Nov. 1 at the Memorial Home. He was born Nov. 24, 1927, in McPherson County to Benjamin B.J. and Anna Goering. He was an elementary school teacher and administrator. He married Julaine J. Preheim on May 26, 1955, at Freeman, S.D. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Randy and wife Annette Goering of Great Bend; and a daughter, DeAnna Goering of Hutchinson; three brothers, Milo Goering of Halstead, Orlando Goering of Freeman, S.D., and Clarence Goering of Moundridge; a sister, Dorothy Krehbiel of Inman; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Cory Elsen and Kendra Goering, all of Hays.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Eden Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the MCC or Bethel College, in care of the funeral home.
