Etta Mae Cooley 1921 - 2009
November 24, 2009 @ 7:38pmCUNNINGHAM — Etta Mae Cooley, 88, died Nov. 22 at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home, Cunningham. Born on Feb. 20, 1921, in Norwich, she was the daughter of Claude and Flossie Edna Laurie Harrison. A longtime resident of Cunmngham, she was a bookkeeper for Woolwines Automotive Parts, in Pratt. On Sept. 12, 1941, she married Lawrence Dean Cooley. He died in 2004.
Mrs. Cooley was a member of the Cunningham Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary and Kingman Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, LaDean Bailey, Marleen Fairchild and Rogene Jarmer; a sister, Veda Webster; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Martin and Alfred; four sisters, Claudine Leslie, Edith Lecklider, Grace Oyler and Martha Ukena; a grandson, Robert Holland, and a granddaughter, Angeline Bragg.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cunningham Christian Church, with Pastor Mike McGovney officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Cunningham EMT Fund or to the church, in care of the funeral home.
