2010 Kansas Optometric Association Fall Eyecare Conference

Nearly 260 optometrists and 220 optometric assistants attended the 2010 Kansas Optometric Association Fall Eyecare Conference in Wichita. Optometrists attending were able to receive 16 hours of continuing education toward the 24 hours required for relicensure.
Among those attending were: Drs. Douglas Ayre, Mark Judd, Russell McCaulley, and Chad Premer of Great Bend.
The seminar included sessions on retinal findings with systemic disease, corneal grand rounds, ocular manifestations of neurological disorders, ER optometry, Alzheimer’s and the eyebrain connection, nutrition and other issues. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear the latest developments with electronic health records. The seminar featured exhibits with representatives from the optometric industry focusing on eyewear, optometric equipment, electronic health records, patient services and practice management.
