American State Bank and Trust Company will sponsor a free day-long agriculture seminar featuring Randy Blach and Dr. David Kohl from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20th at the Great Bend Convention Center, 3017 10th Street. Both speakers are nationally-known industry experts who are actively involved in ag marketing, economics and management.
Randy Blach returns to Great Bend with insight on the cattle and beef industry. He is CEO of Cattle-Fax, an organization dedicated to helping member cattle producers make more profitable marketing and management decisions.
Dr. David Kohl is Professor emeritus of Virginia Tech. He is actively involved in agriculture production and a regular contributor to the Corn and Soybean Digest.
In addition, the seminar will feature representatives from the Kansas Geological Survey along with several state and local water agencies who will conduct a round-table discussion on Kansas water issues.
According to Jerry Renk, American State Executive Vice-President, the seminar is open to anyone wishing to know more about current trends and the future of agriculture.
