Barton County Farm Bureau Association will celebrate a year of successes by hosting an open house for their two thousand members from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3, at the Farm Bureau Office 2001 8th Street in Great Bend.
The Association is governed by a ten member board of directors including Jerry Morgenstern President, Sharon Hiss past President, Kyle Schartz, Vice President, Bill Berchek Treasurer, Women’s Chair Wendy Hughes, Young Farmer and Ranchers Chair Brad Birzer, Richard Koester, Michael Bahr and Chris Clausen
Each year, Farm Bureau members throughout Kansas strive to better their communities by implementing programs and developing effective ideas that promote a lifestyle and dedication to Kansas agriculture.
Fifteen County Farm Bureaus were chosen from across the United States by American Farm Bureau Federation for their innovative, action- oriented programs. Barton County Farm Bureau Association is one of these fifteen counties to be honored for their Pasture Labeling program at the 2011 AFBF Annual Meeting in Atlanta Georgia.
Farm Bureau stands proud because each of its voting members exemplifies the grassroots strength and vision of agriculture.
