Charitable donation Waters True Value Hardware in Great Bend held a contest in which shoppers could guess the number of nuts, bolts and washers were in an aquarium without going over the actual amount. Each winner got to pick from three area charity to receive a donation from the store Family Crisis Center, Kans for Kids and Relay for Life of Barton County. The winners and the charities they selected were: Jesus Leal, $1,000 shopping spree with a $1,000 donation going to Kansas for Kids; Marcus Brown, $500 shopping spree, with a $500 donation going to the Family Crisis Center; and Darcy Bowman, $250 shopping spree, with a $250 donation going to Relay for Life.
