Dance by Design, Great Bend, will hold its eighth annual spring recital, Saturday, May 3, at the Hoisington High School auditorium. Two performances will be held, one at 5 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. The theme will be “Dance Happy,” and owner and instructor Lee Ann Bashor welcomes the public to attend.
“I’m so excited for our dancers to show off their talent at the spring shows. My student’s remind me daily of the joy in dance,” she said.
Students from Great Bend, Hoisington, Ellinwood, Larned and Lyons will perform.
“The entire studio will take part, with tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip-hop routines to be performed by dancers as young as three-years old to 18-years old,” Bashor said.
This will be the second recital for this school year. Each year, the studio holds a winter and a spring show, showcasing how far students have progressed. During the summer, Dance by Design will offer a handful of classes for youth and adults through the summer months.
“Summer classes are a great way to test drive the studio or stay active over the summer,” Bashor said.
Classes include soft shoe tap, Jr hip hop, adult partnership dance classes and more.
Tickets for Saturday’s performance are $6 for reserved seats and general admission is $5 for the balcony seats. Tickets are available at studio or at the door. For information call or email the studio gbdance@cox.net 620-792-9712.
