Great Bend Desk and Derrick club members traveled to Houston for the 59th-annual Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs international convention.
The convention consisted of seminars, field trips, an energy symposium, industry speakers, business meetings and elections of ADDC 2011 Officers. The Great Bend club members were given two exclusive tours to the Universal Rectifiers facility followed by a visit to the Brance-Krachy manufacturing warehouse. Both are involved in cathodic protection services for customers world-wide. Club members were also treated to a trip to Galveston and the gulf coast including a seafood dinner.
The 60th-annual convention will be held in September 2011 in St. Louis, Mo.
Desk and Derrick is an energy educational organization with 60 clubs in the US and Canada. The Great Bend club was chartered in 1996 and meets the first Thursday of each month for an informative and educational industry program.
