Divine Mercy Radio, a Catholic radio station broadcasting from Hays and Great Bend, announces that they, along with Corporate Travel, will host a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass. on July 23-27.
“We wanted to do something during this Jubilee Year of Mercy since we are Divine Mercy Radio,” Donetta Robben, Executive Director of Divine Mercy Radio, said. “There are many trips to Rome and Poland during this Year of Mercy and we wanted to provide something for those who might not be able to afford a foreign trip.”
Pope Francis declared this year an extraordinary holy year – a Jubilee Year of Mercy which concludes Nov. 20.
The pilgrimage will provide prayer and faith as well as visiting some historical sites in Boston. Travel will be by plane from Kansas City International airport. Father Don Bedore, Pastor of Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend, will be the spiritual director on the pilgrimage.
There will be Mass each day at a new pilgrimage site as the Boston area is home to many historical Catholic Churches. There will be a full day at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy as well as a guided tour of yummy walks along the freedom trail and a Boston harbor sunset sightseeing cruise.
In order to have a guaranteed hotel room on the pilgrimage, registrations need to be received by April 1.  For a complete schedule and registration form, go to dvmercy.com or call Divine Mercy Radio at 785-621-4110.
