At a Chamber Coffee hosted by Star of Hope, Barry Borror, President & CEO, challenged the chamber members to sponsor a child for the year. Dr. Catherine Strecker, Educational Strategies, accepted the challenge.
It was a great privilege for Star of Hope to present her with a plaque of appreciation for her generosity. She has covered the expenses for an entire year for Zenia Brutus from Marigot, Haiti. Her sponsorship will make it possible for Zenia, five years old, to attend school.
Star of Hope wishes to give a big public thank you to Dr. Catherine Strecker for responding to the challenge. She joins the employees of Ellinwood District Hospital in this effort. In addition,Catherine recently held a garage sale where the children in Haiti received a generous portion of the proceeds.
