Farmers Bank & Trust Board recognizes 25 year milestone of Vice Chairman

The Farmers Bank & Trust Board honored Larry Keenan for his involvement of 25 years as Chairman and Vice Chairman and facilitator of the board meetings. Larry has been a strong leader on the board for 44 years and will continue his responsibilities as an active board member. “Larry has done an excellent job of guiding the board meetings over the years. He has provided unparalleled leadership,” said W. R. Robbins, CEO and Chairman.
The board elected Roger Marshall to the role of Vice Chairman in 2013. WR Robbins will continue as Board Chairman and take over the duties of facilitator of board meetings.
The board of Farmers Bank and Trust met and reviewed bank activity for 2012, noting that net income for the year increased considerably with the bank’s many efforts. Bank capital of $87 million at Dec. 31, 2012 set record levels for the institution, exceeding peer group levels in the industry. The officers and employees of the institution were recognized and commended for their concerted efforts.
Farmers Bank & Trust ended 2012 with assets of $666 million and operates eight banks in seven communities in central Kansas and Overland Park.
